Thrifty reserves the right to provide a similar vehicle from the same category if the booked vehicle is not available.

The following age limits apply to all Flexy rentals:

The hirer may not rent more than one vehicle at a time. If the hirer has an active rental that overlaps with a new booking's scheduled pick-up, Thrifty may refuse the new booking.

The same card may not be used for two or more concurrent rentals.

The hirer must present the following original, valid documents at pick-up. All documents must be in the hirer's name.

UAE Residents:

• UAE Driving Licence
• Emirates ID
• Passport with Residence Visa
• Valid credit or debit card with at least 3 months' remaining validity, for tokenisation
• For non-Flexy rentals: a credit card with at least 3 months' remaining validity for the security deposit. A security deposit of AED 1,000 to 5,000, based on the vehicle rented, will be blocked on the credit card. The physical credit card may be required at pick-up or delivery for security deposit purposes.

Visitors (Non-UAE Residents):

• International Driving Permit, GCC driving licence, or valid driving licence from their country of origin (see Section 4, Driving Licence Exemptions)
• Passport with entry stamp
• Valid credit or debit card with at least 3 months' remaining validity, for tokenisation
• For non-Flexy rentals: a credit card with at least 3 months' remaining validity for the security deposit. A security deposit of AED 1,000 to 5,000, based on the vehicle rented, will be blocked on the credit card. The physical credit card is required at pick-up or delivery for security deposit purposes.

The physical card may be requested at pick-up.

Category A: If your driving license is issued by one of the following countries, it is valid regardless of your passport nationality

Non-Flexy rentals: Thrifty provides two options:

1. With Security Deposit: You can pay the security deposit either by placing a block on your credit card or by making a purchase on your debit card. The rental agent will confirm the security block amount at vehicle pick-up.
2. No Security Deposit: This option is available exclusively to UAE residents, for monthly rentals only. A non-refundable, one-time 10% surcharge applies, based on the total rental amount for the first month only. This option is restricted to certain car groups, and a credit card is mandatory.

Every Flexy rental includes:

1. 40 km mileage
2. Fuel
3. Standard Insurance Excess (IXS)

1. Essential: simple, budget-friendly city travel
2. Comfort: extra space and comfort for daily trips
3. Stretch: spacious and refined for a premium drive
4. Stretch Plus: top-tier for an elevated premium drive

1. Additional mileage is available in blocks of 20 km, priced according to the vehicle category.
2. Excess mileage beyond the allowed limit is charged per km, based on the vehicle category selected.

During booking, you select a vehicle category and add your additional mileage blocks. The quoted price includes the daily rental, the selected KM package and 5% UAE VAT.

Confirmed bookings can be modified by contacting the Flexy support team on 800FLEXY or at support-flexy@thriftyuae.ae.

Confirmed bookings can be cancelled free of charge.

No refund is applicable in the case of a No Show.

Extensions are available on request. Please contact the Flexy counter or support team.

If the rental is cut short by more than 1 day, the hirer may be eligible for a partial refund for the unused days. Early returns of less than a day are not eligible for a refund

If the vehicle is returned after the scheduled return time, an additional one day's base rental charge will apply. There is no grace period.

Effective January 2018, Thrifty Car Rental reserves the right to add value-added tax (VAT) on all services and rates, as confirmed and implemented by the UAE Government. This applies to all bookings for pick-up from 01 January 2018.

Thrifty Car Rental reserves the right to change the prices of its products and services.

• All prices are payable in UAE Dirhams. All major credit and debit cards are accepted. Advance payment for the applicable rental is required before collecting the vehicle from the counter.
• For bookings made on the Thrifty UAE website, the card used online must be presented at pick-up.
• Your card will be securely tokenised to process any applicable post-rental charges related to your booking.

One-way charges apply if returning to a different location. If the return location is in a different Emirate/City, an Inter-Emirate Fee will apply.

If the rented vehicle is damaged in an accident, the insurance excess payable depends on the outcome of the police report.

Things to remember:

• Standard Insurance Excess (IXS) is included in the basic rental rate.
• The hirer is responsible for obtaining a police report for any vehicle damage. Full repair costs will be charged if no police report is provided.
• Personal belongings and luggage are not insured. Thrifty is not responsible for any items left in the vehicle after return.
• The hirer must pay the insurance excess if the police report states the hirer is at fault, or in the case of a hit-and-run (an accident where fault cannot be attributed to a third party). The excess amount varies by vehicle category.

Toll gate crossings (Salik and DARB) are charged at the actual toll amount plus a 25% administration fee, plus VAT.

Any traffic fine incurred during the rental is the hirer's liability and is charged at the actual fine amount plus a 10% administration fee, plus VAT.

If the vehicle is impounded, the hirer must compensate Thrifty for both the impounding fee and the loss of rental.

The hirer is responsible for registering the vehicle for paid parking and for all parking charges incurred while the vehicle is on hire.

Refunds, where applicable, are made to the credit or debit card used for the original prepaid booking within 30 calendar days.

Abu Dhabi traffic police charge an additional fee for accident reports, payable by the hirer. This fee is in addition to the insurance excess.

The hirer must not use the vehicle:

• Under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• For racing, towing other vehicles, or off-road driving
• For any activity that violates UAE law

The vehicle insurance does not cover any accident or damage resulting from these activities. Any such violation makes the hirer liable for the total damage to the vehicle and any related damages.
